Why even bother?

by monkeyshamble @ 2008-06-27 - 23:43:32

I don't know why I get so angry it's not like I couldn't predict it.
It's just how he is. Well...

Today me and Leon went to see a friend of mine at first the weather seemed ok but after a while it started to rain, heavily!
I'm starting to get really tired of all the raining it's fucking summer!
The evening I have been spending infront of the telly.
I watched Flight of the conchords if that's not the best show ever I don't know what is.
I sat and laughed all by myself! Hillarious!

Tomorrow I will be away for the most part of the day. Going to see a friend in a town a couple of hours from here.
Bringing Leon with me. Ofcourse.
Shopping and girltalk. Can't get any better :)

Why am I surprised?

I can't understand how his brain works.
Stupid idiot!

Back in the days

by monkeyshamble @ 2008-06-25 - 00:54:12

Music has always been a big part of my life and I have had my periods when I have listened to different types of music.
Today I listen to pretty much anything as long as it's good and I can relate to it.
One period that I miss is my hiphop period.
I still listen to rap music sometimes but not in that extent that I used to.

Me and a friend used to travel through half sweden to go to concerts and different hiphop jams.
I remember one time we travelled to another town pretty far from here to go to a hiphop jam.
We only had money for the entrance-fee and for the train ride.
So we didn't have any money to get a place to sleep...or we just didn't care to find one I don't remember.
We were like 16-17 at that time so I guess we didn't care too much.
So after the jam ended we wandered around in town all night until early morning when the trains started to go again.

The ones we used to pay the most money to go to see is a swedish rapgroup called LoopTroop (they are now called LoopTroop Rockers).

We used to travel everywhere to see them and I don't know how many times I've seen them live.
It was like an obsession. Their music was the best and I still have all their records.
Today I don't think I would pay money to go and see them though.
But I miss the times.
The travelling, go to places and don't have any idea of where you are really, no worries about anything.
Things were much easier when you were young weren't they?

"I´ll will get big boobs"

by monkeyshamble @ 2008-06-24 - 14:33:56

My son can be so funny sometimes :)
Me and my son sat in the sofa this morning watching cartoons.
I noticed he wasn't paying that much attention to the tv and after a while he turned to me and said:

Leon: Mummy?
Me: Yes?
Leon: When I get gig I will get bigger boobs.
Me: No you won't darling.
Leon: Yes I will when I get older. Then I'll get boobs like yours.
Me: No you won't you're a boy. Boys don't get boobs, only girls.
Leon: But when I'll be a girl I will!
Me: You won't be a girl, you're a boy.
Leon: No! I will be a girl and I will get boobs!

:) :>> :))

I have another one about his daddys penis :>> :P
I may post that later on, soooo funny! :>>

Listen to this!

by monkeyshamble @ 2008-06-21 - 23:50:21

This is a song by a Danish group called The Alpine.
The song is called Youniverse and it's taken from their album There's only so much you can do which is great!

So listen to Youniverse NOW!!!

Midsummer

by monkeyshamble @ 2008-06-20 - 21:39:29

Today there's a holiday in sweden called Midsommar (midsummer).
A stupid holiday according to me.
I don't think I have ever celebrated it "the real way".
And by the real way means gather with a bunch of people and dance around a pole covered with leaves and flowers and sing silly songs.
I guess the kids appreciate it but Leon is too shy so he wouldn't enjoy it anyway.
Instead we did spend the day/evening at my mum's place and ate some really good food and we had a great time there.

I've had a real hard time sleeping the last couple of days so I have spent the night watching a bunch of films.
So far I have been watching:
Juno - I had great expectations about this movie cause everyone said it was so good. And I liked it. Very much actually.

Evan Almighty - Not so great movie. And sure it had some funny parts but not a movie I would see twice. Love Steve Carell though!

GreenStreet Hooligans - Now this is a great movie! Love the part in the end when they are goning to fight the other firm and the song by Terrence Jay comes in "One blood" beautiful song!

Control - Can you watch a movie too many times? Not this one!
I think it's the best movie ever. I start to cry everttime I watch it. So sad.

Dog day afternoon - I don't know why I love this one, but I do. Al Pacino is such a good actor!

Scarface - Another great one with Al Pacino. A classic!

Tonight I'm watching A mighty heart I'll give my review on that one tomorrow.

Farewell?

by monkeyshamble @ 2008-06-19 - 22:52:09

I've lost my inspiration.
There is a slight chance I may shut this blog down in the nearest future.
Not that anyone is gonna miss my meaningless posts.
Just saying.

I don't know if I am serious or not but I'm pretty much fed up with everything at the moment.

Life is not on my side right now.

We're out...

by monkeyshamble @ 2008-06-18 - 23:31:44

So the Russians beat us and we're out.
It sucks.
I'm not going to watch anymore games in protest...

...or maybe I will when I got over the fact that we're out.
Maybe tomorrow.

Love will tear us apart

by monkeyshamble @ 2008-06-18 - 00:13:23

Ian Curtis knew what he was talking about.

Some thoughts about the future

by monkeyshamble @ 2008-06-15 - 15:09:14

Another sunday.
It's funny how fast the weekends go by.
Friday I dropped off my son at his dad's place and suddenly it's sunday and my little boy is home again.
It's good to have him home, I've missed him :)
Tomorrow's a new week and I have to figure out how to organize everything.
Leon is free from nursery school all summer, he starts again in august.
Having him home makes the organizing a bit more difficult.
But I will manage, somehow.
In three weeks I will know if I will get accepted to the university or not.
Alot of questions pops up in my head.
Am I ready for this?
Am I going to make it?
3 years of studies, help!?!
What if I wont get accepted?
Am I going to find a job?
Maybe I shouldn't start to worry yet.
But I cant help it. I am worried!
What has the future got in store for me?
I want to look at the future as bright but I just can't.
It seems like everytime I get my hopes up everything falls apart.
My expectations. And I get dissapointed.
So I'm not gonna have any expectations.
If I wont get accepted it's not meant to happen. Not at that point.
Enough now.

I want the sun back! The sky has been grey for a week. It's been raining. It's cold. Where did the summer go?
Tomorrow the sun better be back!

The game

by monkeyshamble @ 2008-06-15 - 10:31:52

So Sweden lost their game yesterday.
We were good but Spain did play better than we did.
Atleast we scored one goal. Again by the great Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
Too bad he wasn't able to continue the game, I think he could have scored yet another goal or more.
But now we have to focus on the next game on wednesday.
Then we play against Russia, and we should beat them.
We are much better than them, but you can never be too sure.
They can surprise you.

Smutser

by monkeyshamble @ 2008-06-15 - 01:23:24

Fuck Sweden lost the game!

I've had a great time tonight.
Me, Joanna and Karolina danced the night away to the best song in the universe at the time Kristian Anttila - Smutser (the one I linked before).
Fuckin great!

And yeah...I'm pissed...I think...

Goodnight people!

Tonight's the night!

by monkeyshamble @ 2008-06-14 - 14:13:12

Just a couple of hours until the big game.
Sweden - Spain.
Gonna be really tough.
But I think we can win. I hope we'll win.
But then again Spain is really good...
Well everything can happen!

Today I have been listening to this song all day long.
It's in swedish so you won't understand the lyrics but it's damn good!
The link didn't work so try this one http://youtube.com/watch?v=gruyYlv_Sek

Heja Sverige!

Viva La Vida

by monkeyshamble @ 2008-06-12 - 12:19:57

Got the new Coldplay cd today.
It was supposted to be released tomorrow so why did I get it today?
Well, I'm not complaining :>>
After a quick listen I came to the conclusion that once again they made it.
Right now I have the title track Viva La Vida on repeat.
Beautiful song! Really beautiful!
Gonna continue to listen to the other tracks when I get tired of Viva La Vida. Gonna take a day or two. I'm not in a hurry.

"...that was when I ruled the world"

Brilliant!

by monkeyshamble @ 2008-06-10 - 23:25:19

As I predicted we won the game against Greece.
They never stood a chance, the swedish team ruled the whole game from start to finish.
Zlatan's goal was beautiful!

Saturday we play against Spain. Gonna be tough. Spain has a good team.
But I still think we can win that game too.

Conclusion.
The game was great.
Zlatan is great.
Sweden is great! :)

A big disappointment

by monkeyshamble @ 2008-06-10 - 13:45:17

So my plans for this summer was:
Number one - To work.
Number two - Go to as many festivals that I could.

The job plans didn't happen.
Now my festival plans seems to go the same way.
First I was supposted to go to Hultsfred and mainly to see Babyshambles, but none of my friends wanted to join me so I had to put that idea behind me.
Then I decided to go to Accelerator in Stockholm with my friend Jesper.
I was looking forward to see Band Of Horses, Vampire Weekend, MGMT, Foals and some other great bands.
Now that's not happening either as he got a job and he has to work those days.
His friends are still going and he said I could go with them but I have never met them and I don't want to go with people I've never met.

Fuck. My summer is getting worse and worse by each day.

Euro 2008

by monkeyshamble @ 2008-06-09 - 23:38:23

Finally it has started!
Sadly I missed the games on saturday and sunday.
I wanted to watch the game between Portugal and Turkey on saturday but, I didn't.
I watched today's games though.
The first one was between Romania and France. Awful, really awful.
France used to be a really good team. A couple of years ago.
Tonight's game was terrible. 0-0 against Romania.
They can do so much better. I hope Henry and the guys pull it together for the forthcoming game against Holland.

The game between Holland and Italy was ridiculously bad for Italy but great for Holland.
They crushed the Italians with 3-0.
Both good teams but Holland owned the game from start.

Tomorrow it's the first game for Sweden and ofcourse I hope they win.
They are playing against Greece and Sweden should win.
But you never know. Everything can happen.

Back home again

by monkeyshamble @ 2008-06-08 - 11:13:50

So we are back home from our trip.
We had a great time there but I broke my promise to my sister by not going on that ride I said I would.
When I saw it in real life I decided I didn't want to risk my life.
But it didn't matter that I broke my promise cause my sister also broke her promise by not going on a ride with me.
Kanonen (The canon) a rollercoaster that reached a speed of 75 km/h.
She didn't go, but I did! I did it to prove to her that I wasn't afraid to go. I was though. As I stood in line I could feel my heart beat fast outside my body.
But I couldn't chicken out, I had to go.
And I'm glad I did cause it was so much fun, best ride ever!
And I don't think my pulse went down to normal until half an hour after I went on it.
We are going back there sometime later this summer and then she promised to go with me.
If she won't she promised that she would give me a certain amount of money, so it's a win-win situation for me :>>

The train ride home was a whole other story. A real nightmare.
I tell you guys about it in my next post.

Today it's really hot outside. Me and Leon went out to play earlier but couldn't stay out for long. Couldn't take the heat.
It needs to rain soon cause it's so dry and it's been a bunch of fires the last couple of days.
I love the heat but I wouldn't mind if it rained a day or two.

Gonna try to find something to eat now didn't eat any proper food yesterday so I'm almost starving right now!

And we're off...

by monkeyshamble @ 2008-06-05 - 21:38:36

Well almost anyway.
Havn't packed the bags yet. Not much to pack really gonna buy new stuff there. Shop 'til I drop :>>
For those of you that don't know, we are going to Gothenburg tomorrow.
A great city! Always love it when I go there but it's been a while now.
Gonna try to see a friend that lives there if we have the time.
There's not so much time really we gonna take a little tour through town and do some shopping then we have to check into the hotel and after that we are heading to the main reason we go there.
Swedens largest amusement park, Liseberg http://www.liseberg.com for those of you that are interested.
Been there lots of times and we always have a great time there.
I have promised my sister to go on a ride called Uppswinget I saw that they called it Screamin' swing in english.
That pretty much says it all. I'm scared already.
And the funny thing is that she's not going to go on it - just me!
We'll see if I got the guts to do it. Right now I don't think so.

Have a nice friday! I'll be back again on saturday!

Wanna marry a psychopath?

by monkeyshamble @ 2008-06-04 - 12:29:20

I read something very disturbing in the newspaper today about Josef Fritzl, you know that guy who kept his daughter imprisoned in the basement for 14 years.
In some sick and twisted way women seems to find him attractive as he has been getting a bunch of love letters from different women.
This is a very common thing that women "fallin in love" with men that has commited serious crimes.
They see these men on the tv and in the newspapers and get attracted to them and not only that they also make contact with them.
I know alot of women likes "bad guys" but here is what I'm not getting at all.
An example: There's a man in Sweden who first killed his first wife, she was found dead in the bathtub.
They couldn't prove that he killed her so he was never charged with the murder.
A couple of years later his second wife was killed shot in their home by another woman.
He had manipulated the woman to kill his wife and they were both sentenced to prison.
And he had several women writing to him wanting to marry him.
Why in the hell would you want to marry a guy that killed not only one but two of his wives? Suicidal?
I just don't get it.
And this Josef guy. He raped his own daughter, he held her imprisoned in the basement of his own house, his children are also his grandchildren!
Is that a man you would want to marry? And possibly have kids with?
When you get tired of them you could just lock them up in the basement.
Problem solved.
No I don't understand and I don't think I ever will.

Oh simple thing where have you gone?

by monkeyshamble @ 2008-06-03 - 11:52:36

I forgot how great Keane was!
At one period all I listened to was Keane.
Now for sometime I "forgot" about them.
But now I've rediscovered them again.
And I just LOVE them!
Their music can make bad days turn to the greatest.
Both "Hopes&Fears" and "Under The Iron Sea" are masterpieces!
I used to have a favourite song but now I've realized that all the songs are my favourites. Just SO great!
And they are now recording their third album, can't wait! :)

Life is great!

by monkeyshamble @ 2008-06-03 - 11:24:36

Havn't felt this happy in a very long time.
Everything just seems to go my way right now.
- Leon is behaving fairly well.
- I might get a new computer in the nearest future, and I need it! If you only knew what a struggle I have with my current computer!
- I decided I won't chase the daddy around. No text messages, no phone calls nothing. It's up to him now.
- I got another job offer! It's only for 3 weeks but it's alot of hours and the payment is goooood! Yeah! ;)
- We're going away this weekend. We're taking a little trip to the westcoast of sweden to do some shopping and to visit a theme-park. The biggest theme-park in Sweden. Gonna be great! :)

Oh, I'm so happy right now :)
